CHATAN, Okinawa Prefecture–In the latest in a series of incidents that have heightened tensions, a U.S. airman has been arrested on suspicion of drunk driving after his car collided with another vehicle, Okinawa prefectural police said July 24.
According to police, Senior Airman Joren William Ladd, 22, who is based at U.S. Kadena Air Base, is accused of driving while intoxicated near an intersection on a national road here around 10:15 p.m. on July 23.
