CHATAN, Okinawa Prefecture–In the latest in a series of incidents that have heightened tensions, a U.S. airman has been arrested on suspicion of drunk driving after his car collided with another vehicle, Okinawa prefectural police said July 24.

According to police, Senior Airman Joren William Ladd, 22, who is based at U.S. Kadena Air Base, is accused of driving while intoxicated near an intersection on a national road here around 10:15 p.m. on July 23.

He crashed into an idling car, which had stopped to let pedestrians cross the road, and a breath test showed he was more than five times over the legal alcohol limit.

Police said Ladd has admitted to drunk driving.

I’m sorry, but Kennith Gadson gets no sympathy from me.   “Poor me!  I wasn’t feeling well and life’s not fair!”  Fuck this guy.

A U.S. military contractor charged with raping and killing a 20-year-old woman in Japan has asked that his trial be moved outside Okinawa, saying he may not receive a fair trial on the southern island where the case has received extensive media coverage and opposition to U.S. bases is high, his lawyer said Wednesday.

He’s afraid he won’t get a fair trial?  I’m sorry but was it fair to the girl you murdered?  He has already admitted to the crimes, I’m not sure he’s got much of a chance here.

In Japan, we have a 99% conviction rate.  They don’t charge you unless they have an airtight case.

I have no sympathy.  I just wish the press would start using his real name  Kenneth Gadson instead of his “assumed” name of Shinzato.   Talk about messing with his wife’s family even more.  I’m sure they hate even being associated with him.
